DAALMA was born at the initiative of Jenny Paola Manrique, a passionate and determined businesswoman, who since she was a child has had a deep connection with animals, and who has felt the need to contribute to their health, well-being, and safety through social change.

With the support of her father, Daniel Alcides Manrique, they would rescue dogs and offer them a loving and caring home that kept them safe.

For several years, Jenny has been voluntarily and financially supporting organizations that look after the well-being and safety of animals in the United States and Colombia. In her heart, she has always dreamed of creating a place where she can take in as many dogs as possible who lack a home, care, and love.

Three of her biggest loves, Frida, Merida, and Bolt, have been rescued and not only do they enjoy of a home full of attention and care, but they are also a massive inspiration of this endeavor.
